Ella's Idea to Help Japan

Ella saw some pictures on the TV of the damage in Japan from the Earthquake and Tsunami. Upon seeing this, she told her mom that she thought that the people in Japan were really going to need some help to cleanup and fix stuff. She decided she wanted to setup a lemonade stand and try to raise money for the Red Cross to help the people of Japan.

We setup a table in the park in our neighborhood and made a bunch of online announcements. Ella offered free lemonade to whoever wanted some and told everyone that donations for the Red Cross to help Japan would be appreciated. She managed to raise over $82 in one afternoon. Suzanne and Ella will be going to the Red Cross this week to turn in the money.

We are very proud of Ella for being so thoughtful and wanting to give of her time to try and help people in need. Ella thanks everyone who came out for a glass of lemonade for their generous donations.
